I must admit (I try to keep a realistic and honest approach here...) that when my friend, C, asked for a tractor tee, I was less than thrilled. For some reason, I am NOT a big John Deere fan. Every fabric I found was so cheesy and not cute...but then, out of nowhere....Hancocks helped a girl out! I found this super sweet JD fabric that I LOVED. I mean really loved. It's kind of a JD fabric meets bandana fabric. LOVE. Hope he loves it, C!!

How things work...

I think there is some confusion on how A Tad Sassy works, so I'm here to clear the air. ;)

First off, ATS is completely custom...meaning I make things exactly the way you'd like them. You choose colors, fonts, pictures, paint, bows, embellishments, etc. I can make things as sassy as you'd like them or keep things simple. Now, having said that, some people prefer that I take the driver seat with my artistic vision. It's COMPLETELY up to you. I want your product to suit you and describe you perfectly. I want you to be proud of it.

Secondly, I don't sit in my sewing room making tons of items. I don't really see the need to have a closet full of things that I may or may not sell. I will make things for my girls and as I receive custom orders. SO, what you see on this site is not all that is available. Let me clarify....

Say you need a custom painted canvas for your child's nursery.....check. I can do it.
Or maybe if you're a teacher, you want a banner to hang in your room....check. I can do it.
You've got a birthday party to attend, and need a last minute gift....check. I can do it.
Teacher appreciation has rolled around, and you want a unique present....check. I can do it.
Or what if you need a shirt to wear to your child's soccer games....check. I've got you covered.

You see, that's the beauty of A Tad Sassy. If you can dream it up....I'm pretty sure I can make it.

Unfortunately, it seems everyone knows someone who has been affected by breast cancer. I made this special shirt to send to a fantastic someone who is a survivor. I know she won't read this, but if you know who it's headed to, please keep my little secret. I want to share a little "pink" love. =)

This birthday banner is completely custom and something your little one will cherish forever! I will design it with the exact details you give me to describe your little one (colors, themes, patterns, etc.) As you can tell, my eldest is a tad sassy. It will come with an appliqued cupcake and handpainted "Happy Birthday ___!" I will also sew on the candles for that year (PLUS any previous years.) Each year's candle will be in a material that describes their birthday party. i.e. My child had a hot pink and black diva party for year one, a polka dotted Very Hungry Caterpillar party for year two, and she's having an art party for year three so I'll add some type of crayons/painting/etc. material for the third candle. This is SUCH a cute piece to hang every year at your child's birthday party.....over the gifts, from the mantle, on the door, or even at a private venue!!
Now, here are the rules:
Every year after that, you sew or iron on a candle for that party. So, when he/she is all grown up, they'll be able to look back at all the candles from parties past. (Can I get an ahhhh, please?) This will be a wonderful keepsake that I'm sure my girls will treasure and will hopefully show it to their babies one day. =)

Next rule, you'll take all the ribbons from their gifts and tie them to the tulle hanger at the top. (yes, much like you did at your wedding showers!)

Hi! And welcome to A TAD SASSY!

I am Sarah, a Christian wife and SAHM to two very sweet and sassy girls, LA & EK.

I am a "new" OK Sooner transplanted from the land of the Razorbacks.

I am a former kindergarten teacher and lover of all things crafty.

What started as sewing a few shirts for my sassy two ended up being an adventure that exceeded my wildest dreams. I absolutely love playing with all crafts and dreaming up wild and sassy creations. Creations that I would love to design just for you.

I just spent the past couple of days helping design this custom onesie for Durham. I found this blog called "A Tad Sassy", which is now linked to my blog because it's so cute! I had a fit over all of it! Her name is Sarah and she is beyond talented. She can custom make anything you want! She is a saint for dealing with my indecisiveness and changing my mind ten times! :) I had so much fun picking out colors and fabrics.
