A New Season....

It is with careful consideration and prayer that I have decided to discontinue A Tad Sassy. After several quiet times and devotionals on family life, I feel like God is calling me away from my hobby of sewing.

When I left teaching to become a full-time mother, I harshly underestimated the "vacation-from-work" that I was soon to receive. Being a full-time mother to two sweet babies is SO much harder than teaching 20 five year-olds ever thought about being. It is SO much more work since 5:00 never comes. It is so much more stressful when you have 14,000 things to get done and NO planning period. It is so tiring sometimes and there is never a Spring Break or long weekend.

BUT, it's the most fulfilling job that I couldn't dream of living without.

So, while I was juggling sewing/cleaning/cooking/and parenting, I realized that ATS had become something much bigger than I ever anticipated. And while that is a blessing in itself, I was missing the most important season of my life with my babies. So, for now, I am leaving ATS so that I can be a mommy and teacher to two of the most important clients in the world. I am sure that many of you are mothers as well, and can understand that I must tend to this season of my life first.

If you are close friends of mine, I will continue to monogram if I have the time, so feel free to email and ask!

This was such a fun frame to make. M sent me one of her wedding pictures which was taken outside in a tropical setting. I painted it coral with gold highlights to match her bouquet. I think it turned out super cute! Please excuse the poor picture quality....I took it on my phone.

Whew! It's been a whirlwind of a holiday season around here! We celebrated my oldest babe's 3rd birthday, my 6th wedding anniversary, Christmas, and the bringing in of a new year. Sounds great, right? Add double ear infections, the stomach virus, and a horrible cold and you get an OUTSTANDING holiday season. I hope you can understand why I've been away from ATS.

BUT....I am back with a vengeance. I've already received a few orders for the new year and completed several over the break. Somehow, I managed to let a few get away without making a picture first!

Okay...so remember the cap tee that I showed a few days ago....this tee is for big sister! Momma wanted something a little "girlier" for her, so we went with this fitted tee with a baseball heart. The heart even has the "stitching" through it!! LOVE IT. Of course, we had to add her uncle's number on the back! :) S- I hope you love your new tee. Wear it with Razorback pride, girl!

While making this shirt, I came up with several ideas for adults! The heart can be customized with a specific sport or even team! I can add little rhinestones around the heart for a little bling, too. You can never have too much sass....even at a game.

Lastly, you could add "Sarah's Mom" on the back to support your little one!

I ordered a new hoop for my mono machine which is set to arrive TODAY. :) It will make monogramming much easier for me, but waiting on it to arrive has caused a small delay. I have already made the girls Santa/cheetah print Christmas dresses (sassy, I know!), but I wanted something a little more casual for them to wear around the holidays. I think there is some confusion on how A Tad Sassy works, so I'm here to clear the air. ;)

First off, ATS is completely custom...meaning I make things exactly the way you'd like them. You choose colors, fonts, pictures, paint, bows, embellishments, etc. I can make things as sassy as you'd like them or keep things simple. Now, having said that, some people prefer that I take the driver seat with my artistic vision. It's COMPLETELY up to you. I want your product to suit you and describe you perfectly. I want you to be proud of it.

Secondly, I don't sit in my sewing room making tons of items. I don't really see the need to have a closet full of things that I may or may not sell. I will make things for my girls and as I receive custom orders. SO, what you see on this site is not all that is available. Let me clarify....

Say you need a custom painted canvas for your child's nursery.....check. I can do it.
Or maybe if you're a teacher, you want a banner to hang in your room....check. I can do it.
You've got a birthday party to attend, and need a last minute gift....check. I can do it.
Teacher appreciation has rolled around, and you want a unique present....check. I can do it.
Or what if you need a shirt to wear to your child's soccer games....check. I've got you covered.

You see, that's the beauty of A Tad Sassy. If you can dream it up....I'm pretty sure I can make it.
